Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today announced Durga Puja holiday for students of classes 9, 10 and 12.
As per the decision, the holidays will begin from October 9 afternoon (after conclusion of classes) to October 20. All District Education Officers have been informed by the government in this regard.
The classes will resume from October 21.
“I am to say that Govt. has been pleased to declare Holidays for Schools from 9th October, 2021 afternoon (after the classes are over) to 20th October, 2021, in view of Durga Puja & Dussehra followed by Kumar Purnima. All the Educational Institutions will remain closed during the above period. The Schools for class-IX, X & XII will resume from 21st October, 2021 with the same timing as issued by Govt. and the same SOP will be followed in view of the pandemic situation arising out of COVID-19. All Headmasters/ Principals of Higher Secondary Schools must be intimated accordingly,” wrote Satyabrata Sahu, School and Mass Education Department Secretary, in a letter to all District Education Officers.
