Fuel refilling stations in Odisha to remain closed these two days; check details

Bhubaneswar: The petroleum dealers in Odisha have decided to shut fuel refilling stations for 12 hours on May 27 and 28. They took the decision to protest against the Centre’s move to slash fuel prices without increasing the dealer commission.

As per the decision, fuel refilling stations in the State will remain closed from 6 pm to 6 am on May 27 and 28.

The dealers will not also purchase fuel from oil marketing companies (OMCs)—Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum—on these two days.

Recently, the Government of India announced cut in excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre respectively.
