Mohapatra also cited that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare noticed at some vaccination centres both online and onsite slots are kept. He added it has been observed the beneficiaries who booked an online appointment have to wait for longer period to get vaccines as compared to onsite slots.

The letter further said the feature of onsite registration should only be used for the purposes of enabling access for facilitated cohorts and for minimising vaccine wastage.
