Man stabbed inside Boipariguda police station in Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: A man was allegedly stabbed inside Boipariguda police station in Odisha’s Koraput district over past enmity, today.

The victim, identified as Khagapati Gadaba of Thatuguda village, has been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital here for treatment.

Accused Goura Harijan of Ghumura village was arrested.

According to reports, a dispute was prevailing between the two from a long time. An argument ensued between them while they were having snacks at an eatery in Boipariguda, yesterday.

Losing his cool, Khagapati attacked Goura with a lathi, as a result of which the latter sustained injuries to his head.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by Goura, cops had detained Khagapati at the police station.

While police were trying to resolve the matter in the presence of the two, Goura stabbed Khagapati with a knife, leaving him grievously injured.

Khagapati was initially admitted to the Boipariguda Hospital and later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for better treatment.

Goura was apprehended and will be forwarded to court, police said.
