Max 50 persons allowed during marriage function in Odisha Capital at any point of time

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today revised its guidelines on number of persons to be present during functions related to marriage and death ritual, and thread ceremony in the area of Bhubaneswar.

In an order, the city municipal corporation stated the maximum number of 50 persons are allowed at any point of time during marriage related function, death ritual related function and thread ceremony related function.

It further said, “In a closed space only 50% of the hall capacity will be allowed for use subject to maximum ceiling of 50 persons at any given point of time.”

Similarly, in open space, 50% of the capacity are allowed so that social distancing of six feet are maintained among the participants with a maximum limit of 50 persons at any given point of time.

The ceiling of 50 number of persons will be applicable to other official or business related functions in the city as well.

The BMC stated the fresh modification is effective till October 31, 2021.
