Monsoon Session: Odisha Assembly Speaker calls for all-party meeting on Sept 25

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the upcoming Monsoon Session, Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro has called for an all-party meeting on September 25.

“The all-party meeting will be held to ensure smooth functioning of House during the session. The decision regarding suspension of Zero or Question hour during the session will be taken at the meeting,” informed Speaker.

Besides, the Speaker today inspected the Assembly Hall and took stock of the arrangements made for fourth session of 16th Assembly commencing on September 29. Assembly Secretary Dasarathi Satapathy was also present during the inspection.

It is pertinent to mention that the Monsoon Session will be held from September 29 to October 7 in strict adherence to all COVID-19 guidelines. The business of the House will run on Sunday too. All MLAs, officials and staff of the House will undergo COVID-19 test two days before the Session.
