Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has initiated efforts to conduct OAS examinations in Odia language.
The General Administration department of the state government has written to the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to prepare questions for the OAS exams in both English and Odia languages.
Moreover, the department has asked the commission to give the candidates the option of writing the answers either in English or Odia.
The prelims, mains and interviews of the OAS exams will be held in Odia as well.
In 2011, a petition was filed in the Orissa High Court seeking conduct of the exams in Odia language. Hearing the petition, the High Court had directed to hold the exams in Odia. The directive was yet to be implemented completely.
