Odisha-born engineer wins modelling contest in Australia

Bhubaneswar: An Odisha-born engineer has won a major modelling contest in Australia.

Arun Indra Nayak, who hails from Rourkela city in Odisha, has won ‘Mr Glam Cultural Global’ contest in Sydney in Australia.

The 40-year-old model has also qualified to participate in the ‘Mr Glam Cultural International’ contest in Vietnam, sources said.

Arun, son of late Indramani Nayak and Sulochana Nayak, had completed his Plus-II (Intermediate) degree from Rourkela. He had done B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication before starting his career as an engineer in a company in Bangalore in 2005.

Arun had worked in London for three years before moving to Australia in 2009. He is now working in IBM company in Sydney and has accepted the Australian citizenship, sources added.

“The Mr Glam Cultural Global contest was held in Sydney in August this year. Arun participated in the contest and won the title. He has qualified to participate in the Mr Glam Cultural International contest, scheduled to be held in Vietnam in April next year,” said a source.
