Odisha: Gajapati ADM injured as truck rams car in Andhra

Bhubaneswar: Rajendra Minz, the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Odisha’s Gajapati, was critically injured in a road mishap in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh yesterday.

Minz, a senior OAS officer, has been admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

The incident took place while Minz was returning to Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district after meeting his family in Berhampur yesterday evening.

A truck reportedly rammed into the ADM’s car from rear near Sompeta in Andhra Pradesh. He sustained critical injuries on his head, face and other parts of the body, sources said.

Minz was initially rushed to a nearby hospital by the police in Andhra. He was later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, sources added.
