Odisha Weather News: Thunderstorm, gusty wind likely in these districts today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm and gusty surface wind today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak,” the Meteorological Centre predicted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati and Koraput,” it added.

Temperature Forecast: Maximum temperature (day temperature) likely to decrease by 2-3°C at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 3 days and no large change thereafter. Maximum temperature (day temperature) likely to be more than 40°C and above normal by 2 to 3°C over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir and Boudh during the next 3 days.
