Prisoner who escaped from SCB Hospital found hanging in Odisha’s Jajpur
Jajpur: A prisoner, who had escaped from the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack yesterday while undergoing treatment, was found hanging in Giringamali forest under Kaliapani police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district, today.
The deceased, identified as Sukra Munda, was serving life imprisonment at Radharamanpur Model Jail in Athagarh after being convicted in a murder case.

He was admitted to the hospital after he complained of sickness. However, he fled the healthcare facility during treatment.
On receiving information about his body hanging from a tree in the forest, a police team reached the spot, recovered it for post-mortem and initiated an investigation to ascertain whether he died by suicide or was murdered.
