Special COVID vaccination drive for Swiggy, Zomato delivery boys in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today launched a special vaccination camp here for delivery boys of online food aggregators like Swiggy and Zomato .

Delivery staff of both Swiggy and Zomato can visit the camp at 7th Battalion High School here for the inoculation.

BMC Zonal Deputy Commissioner Anshuman Rath said, “Around 1200 delivery boys of Swiggy will be vaccinated today and tomorrow. Vaccination of Zomato delivery boys will begin from Monday. We further plan to vaccinate delivery agents of other aggregators and medical stores on priority basis.”

The special drive was initiated to make home delivery safe for the citizens. More such groups will be vaccinated in coming days, said a BMC official.

Earlier on June 9, a special vaccination drive was carried out by the BMC in association with Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha for hotel and restaurant staff.
