Woman found dead on roadside in Odisha’s Ganjam; Rape, murder suspected

Berhampur: Mutilated body of an unidentified woman was found on roadside at Badaghati under Khallikote police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district, today.

According to reports, the body with grievous injuries on face was spotted this morning. Police have recovered the body and started an investigation into the incident.

Till last reports came in, the identity of the deceased was yet to be established.

Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the woman was raped and later crushed to death with stone.

Further probe was underway.
