Man drowns as boat capsizes in reservoir in Odisha’s Deogarh

Deogarh: A man drowned as the boat on which he was being ferried capsized in Gohira reservoir under Riamal police limits in Odisha’s Deogarh district.

The deceased has been identified as Laxman Luhura (30) of Baragadia village under Tileibani block of the district.

According to reports, Laxman had yesterday gone to his in-laws’ house at Kadaguda village, from where he was heading towards Saranali village on a boat. Unfortunately, the boat capsized in the reservoir and he went missing.

His body was recovered from the water body this morning. Police have seized the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.
