Schools in Odisha to reopen from Monday

Bhubaneswar: Timing for schools and higher secondary schools in Odisha functioning under the School and Mass Education department has been rescheduled. As per a decision taken today, the department asked the schools and educational institutions to conduct teaching hours from 6 AM to 9 AM with effective from May 2, 2022.

However, the examinations already scheduled by different boards and councils will continue as usual.

It is worth to mention here that schools in the State have been closed from April 26 to April 30 due to intense heat wave.

The department’s letter written to the Board of Secondary Education, Council of Higher Secondary Education, other boards and educational institutions directed them to conduct the learning recovery plan (LRP) prepared by OSEPA during summer vacation.

The learning recovery plan is applicable to government and government-aided schools. The students who are being promoted from Class III up to Class X including new admissions and also for Class XI students who will be promoted to Class XII in higher secondary schools will be covered under this plan.
