Two more Covid hospitals come up in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Arrangements have been made at two more hospitals in Bhubaneswar for care of Covid-19 patients. A tripartite agreement between the Odisha Government through Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) represented by BMC Commissioner, Sanjaya Kumar Singh, the Odisha COVID Hospital Operator represented by Dr. Ambika Prasad Mohanty, Principal of KIMS Hospital, Bhubaneswar, and representative of the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) was signed at 3 pm today.

Also, a bilateral agreement was inked between by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC)  Commissioner on behalf of the State Government and Hi-tech Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar  Chief Operating Officer Jyotirmaya Panda.

As per the agreement, KIIMS will provide services for 500 patients whereas Hi-tech will accommodate 239 patients.

Two hospitals – Aditya Ashwini and SUM have been providing services to COVID-19 patients will  continue their services. Aditya Aswini has strength of serving 150 patients and SUM has 810 beds. Besides, Covid Care Centers are also functional at Patia and Dumduma having a total strength of 100 beds.

BMC Additional Commissioner, Laxmikanta Sethi in presence of Deputy Commissioner (Health and Sanitation) Suvendu Kumar Sahoo handed over the agreement to the hospital authorities.
