Assistant Engineer in Odisha Vigilance net for disproportionate assets

Sambalpur: Vigilance officials today raided the office and houses of Kuchinda Assistant Engineer Upendra Nayak on charges of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Under the direction of Sambalpur Vigilance SP, separate teams of the anti-corruption unit from Sambalpur, Rourkela, Deogarh and Balangir conducted the raid  at various locations simultaneously. The officials searched his chamber in Kuchinda NAC office, a house at Ghosa here and  another building and in-laws’ house in Kuchinda area.

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by Nayak will be ascertained after the completion of raids.
